Do Not Punch Trees is a vanilla friendly Minecraft datapack that changes the first minutes of survival. Bare hands can no longer harvest logs, planks, stairs, or slabs, so players must rethink the usual opening routine and find a more believable path toward basic tools.

Leaves provide sticks, while four sticks can be crafted into two oak planks, and saplings can also become sticks to help begin the process. Wood blocks require an axe, including compatible modded axes registered correctly.
