Artifacts, items with unique properties

Artifacts is a Minecraft datapack that transforms exploration loot into a system of unpredictable rewards. It adds items with randomly generated properties, which may be positive or negative, and each artifact can carry one, two, or three effects. Properties from different artifacts combine, encouraging players to create distinctive equipment builds.

Artifacts can appear in chests across many Overworld structures and may also affect selected copper, iron, gold, and diamond gear. They are recognizable by an enchantment and a sun symbol, and up to six can be worn in active slots.
