ItemTag is a lightweight Bukkit plugin for a Minecraft server that records the player who first picks up an item and adds that name to its lore. This simple ownership mark supports roleplay, item history, trading rules, and anti griefing systems, making valuable gear easier to identify.

The plugin keeps tags on dropped items, helps prevent creative mode abuse, and can replace existing lore when using its tagging command. It does not tag items inserted directly into inventories through chests, other plugins, or external tools. Designed for Minecraft 1.7.4, ItemTag adds a clear social layer to gameplay.
