VarLight, custom lighting for a Minecraft server

VarLight is a Spigot plugin that lets players turn most ordinary blocks into adjustable light sources, without changing their appearance. Using Glowstone Dust as the light update item, right clicking raises a block’s luminance one level at a time, while left clicking lowers it. This makes it possible to illuminate builds discreetly, preserve a clean architectural style, and create atmospheric interiors.

Custom lights can be edited in bulk with commands, filtered by block type, and preserved when blocks are recovered with Silk Touch. Fortune can return light update items.
