SmallPets, pets with abilities for Minecraft 1.12 to 1.19

SmallPets is a Java plugin for a Spigot, Bukkit, or Paper based Minecraft server that adds collectible companion pets with useful abilities. Each pet can gain experience through activities such as combat, fishing, farming, and other gameplay actions, then level up to improve its effect. Players can unlock pets, select an active companion, track levels and progress, and manage several pets through an inventory interface. Administrators can configure experience gains, permissions, storage, languages, and available pet types. The project is discontinued, but it remains an interesting choice for servers running Minecraft versions 1.12 through 1.19. BoxToPlay makes the setup simple.
