EditableSign, Sign Editing for a Minecraft Server

EditableSign is a Java server plugin that lets authorized players reopen an already placed sign by sneaking and right clicking it. It is designed for protected areas where normal editing is blocked, while respecting permissions and WorldGuard’s USE or INTERACT settings.

The plugin can also handle Essentials signs, including Buy, Sell, and Disposal formats, with optional colored sign support. Commands provide an editable mode toggle, help, and configuration reload. For older Spigot or Paper servers, BoxToPlay offers a practical way to maintain signs without affecting protected builds. Since Minecraft 1.20 added native sign editing, EditableSign is mainly useful for legacy setups or specific compatibility needs.
