CheatGuard AntiCheat is an open source security plugin for a Java Edition Minecraft server, designed to identify players using unfair client modifications. Supporting server versions from 1.8 through 1.18, it combines more than 55 checks covering combat, movement, packets, inventory, scaffolding, and automated actions.

Its highly customizable configuration lets staff adjust detection behavior, alerts, and the integrated punishment system. A setback feature can actively interrupt suspicious movement, helping preserve fair gameplay without changing the player’s client.
