Gear Core, flexible equipment modifiers

Gear Core is a library mod for Minecraft Java Edition on Fabric and Quilt, designed to help other mods create richer equipment systems. It lets armor, tools, bows, crossbows, shields, tridents, trinkets, and other supported items receive custom modifiers that add entity attributes, adjust durability, or respond to gameplay events.

Modifiers can react when players take damage, hit enemies, mine blocks, use items, or kill mobs. A rolling system also supports targets, weights, rarity, persistence, and randomized bonuses, while gear sets can provide tiered rewards through datapacks. On a modded Minecraft server, BoxToPlay helps turn these mechanics into deeper RPG progression.
