Better Mob Combat is a Minecraft Java mod that extends Better Combat to humanoid mobs, giving enemies and allied characters more expressive and readable melee attacks. Zombies, villagers, guards, and other compatible entities can use animated weapon swings instead of vanilla instant strikes, with attack timing and reach following the equipped weapon.
Designed for client and server use on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge, it requires Better Combat and Mob Player Animator for proper animations. Configuration options let you choose which mobs participate and exclude incompatible GeckoLib entities. On our BoxToPlay Minecraft server, it adds variety and clarity to every close combat encounter.
