Villager Guards is a Minecraft datapack for Java Edition that brings active protection to villages on a Minecraft server. It introduces two guard roles, archers and swordsmen, who defend villagers against hostile creatures and can equip weapons, armor, and totems. Fletcher villagers can become archers when given a bow, while weaponsmith villagers can become swordsmen with an iron sword. A configuration function and tags let administrators adjust natural conversion and target bypass rules, while summon functions provide direct control. Because some villagers may convert randomly, existing trades can be lost. With BoxToPlay, this village defense feature fits naturally into multiplayer survival.
