Navigable Rivers, Better River Travel

Navigable Rivers is a Minecraft datapack add on for William Wythers’ Overhauled Overworld, designed to turn rivers into practical travel routes instead of narrow, awkward waterways. It uses world generation features to carve away terrain that would otherwise intrude into river channels, creating broader and more continuous passages.

The result is a more natural landscape where boats can follow rivers for longer journeys, making exploration, settlement planning, and multiplayer transport more enjoyable on a Minecraft server. It complements Overhauled Overworld without adding new blocks or changing the core survival experience.
