Legacy Sword, classic combat on your Minecraft server

Legacy Sword is a lightweight Minecraft datapack that brings back the fast sword combat associated with versions before 1.9. It removes the attack cooldown from swords, allowing players to strike repeatedly instead of waiting between hits. The change recreates the familiar spam click rhythm for melee encounters and classic PvP.

Only swords are affected. Axes, tools, tridents, and other weapons retain their normal cooldown, so the rest of modern combat remains intact. Fully vanilla compatible and requiring no mod or resource pack, it offers a focused gameplay change for a Minecraft server.
