Better Pillager Outpost is a vanilla friendly Minecraft datapack that replaces the standard Pillager Outpost with a more imposing and rewarding structure. Its redesigned tower includes customized spawners, additional architectural details, updated Allay and Iron Golem cages, food and sleeping tents, lantern posts, and an Outpost Captain mini boss at the summit. The datapack also overhauls the loot table, adding a better selection of rewards such as emeralds, amethyst, and occasional village bells.
Designed for adventure focused survival, it makes every outpost worth exploring without introducing custom blocks or demanding a modded Minecraft server. At BoxToPlay, we recommend it for players who want tougher encounters and more meaningful discoveries while preserving the vanilla style. It currently supports Minecraft 1.21.1, and redesigned outposts appear in newly generated chunks.
