AltDetector is a Java plugin for Bukkit, Paper, and Spigot that helps staff identify potential alternate accounts on a Minecraft server. It records players’ IP history and alerts authorized staff when several accounts connect from the same address, making it useful for reviewing ban evasion without automatically punishing anyone.
The plugin provides the /alt command for online or offline lookups, configurable data retention, SQLite storage with optional MySQL support, permissions, exemptions, and integrations with PlaceholderAPI, Discord webhooks, and vanish plugins. Shared household networks or carrier grade NAT can create false positives, so results should support moderation rather than replace human review. BoxToPlay makes this server tool easy to add to your setup.
