ProtoWeaver is a networking library for Minecraft Java Edition that lets developers create custom protocols over the server’s internal Netty connection. Instead of opening a separate socket, it uses the same port as the Minecraft server, making communication with proxies and external Java applications more direct, even when no players are online.

Protocols can use SSL encryption, authentication, compression, custom serialization, and packet objects based on regular Java classes.
