PingAPI

PingAPI is a Bukkit developer API that gives plugins finer control over the information returned when a player checks a Minecraft server in the multiplayer list. It listens for outgoing server status responses and exposes an event based system for changing their contents.

Developers can customize the MOTD, online and maximum player counts, player samples, protocol name and version, visibility of player data, and server icon. It can also create multiple responses, send pong packets, or support server list animations on older versions. At BoxToPlay, we present it as a useful foundation for distinctive server list displays and custom status plugins.
