Fortunate Ancient Debris is a Minecraft datapack that changes how ancient debris rewards are obtained in survival. Mining the block with a Fortune enchanted pickaxe produces netherite scraps instead of the block itself, and Fortune can increase the number of scraps collected. Silk Touch still preserves ancient debris as a block, while explosions do not affect its drops.
To keep Netherite progression balanced, the pack removes experience from ordinary ancient debris mining and raises the crafting cost to five scraps per Netherite ingot. It is a server side gameplay adjustment for Java Edition, ideal for a Minecraft server that wants a smoother mining loop without straying far from vanilla.
