Developer’s note: Fixes the old bug introduced in 1.14 where the Ender Dragon's Vertical Movement is very slow. Effectively patches out one-cycling. If you've fought the dragon in 1.12 or 1.13 you might know what this is.

Dragon Movement Fix, Minecraft datapack

Dragon Movement Fix is a server side Minecraft datapack for Java Edition that corrects the Ender Dragon’s unusually slow vertical movement, a bug introduced in Minecraft 1.14. It restores faster Y axis reactions during dives and landings, bringing the fight closer to the behavior seen in versions 1.12 and 1.13.

By changing the dragon’s movement, the pack removes the predictable descent that enables one cycling, making the final boss encounter more natural and less exploitable. It adds no items or systems, but improves the vanilla End experience for a Minecraft server. Our BoxToPlay setup makes this gameplay fix easy to enjoy.
