Too Expensive Removed is a server side Minecraft datapack for Java Edition that removes the anvil’s “Too Expensive!” restriction. It lets players continue combining enchanted books, repairing equipment, and upgrading valuable gear when vanilla Minecraft would normally block the operation because of its level limit.

The datapack keeps the familiar anvil experience and does not turn the feature into a creative mode shortcut. To trigger its effect, place the item in the anvil, then drag it back into your inventory before using it again. It is a practical quality of life addition for any Minecraft server, and our BoxToPlay setup makes this gameplay improvement easy to enjoy.
