Revived Pet

Revived Pet is a Minecraft Java Edition datapack that gives tamed wolves a second chance after death. When a wolf dies, it drops a fireproof collar preserving its original name. Hold the collar and sneak near a charged Respawn Anchor to revive the companion, consuming one charge.

The revived wolf returns as a zombie, gaining health and strength but becoming slower and vulnerable to sunlight. A Potion of Weakness and meat can restore its normal form. If it dies again, it can return as a skeleton, but a further death is permanent. On our BoxToPlay Minecraft server, this creates a dramatic survival mechanic without changing the core gameplay.
