Locator Bar, per player control

Locator Bar is a Java Edition plugin for Paper, Purpur, and Spigot servers that gives each player personal control over Minecraft’s native Locator Bar. The bar displays nearby players as directional colored indicators, helping groups meet while preserving individual privacy.

Players can toggle whether others see them, choose whether they receive other players’ indicators, and check their current status through simple commands. Administrators can manage individual settings, select combined or separate control modes, define world specific visibility rules, and adjust cooldowns, sounds, language, and transmission ranges. For our BoxToPlay Minecraft server experience, it offers a flexible way to balance cooperation, navigation, and stealth without requiring a client side mod.
