Minecraft Java + Bedrock with Paper and Geyser

How does this pack work?

This setup brings Java and Bedrock players together on one Minecraft server. BoxToPlay installs Paper with Geyser and Floodgate, so you can prepare one world for your whole group.

Paper: Paper runs the Java server and its worlds. You can customise your game with plugins compatible with Paper.
Geyser: Geyser connects Bedrock players to the Java server by translating communication between the two editions.
Floodgate: Floodgate lets players join with their Bedrock account, without buying a separate Java Edition account. Each player still needs their own copy of Minecraft and the account for their edition.

The world runs on Java Edition, including its game mechanics and redstone. Bedrock players join that world through Geyser.

How do players join?

From Minecraft Java Edition

Start the server from your BoxToPlay dashboard. In Java Edition, open Multiplayer and add the Java address shown in your dashboard.

From Bedrock on mobile or Windows

Add an external server in Minecraft Bedrock. Enter the address and port shown by the Geyser badge in your BoxToPlay dashboard into their separate fields.

From a console

On Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, joining an external server may require an additional method such as BedrockConnect or a companion app. Check the instructions for your console first.

Plugins, mods and versions

Use plugins designed for Paper and check their support for Bedrock players, especially menus and anticheat features.

This is a Paper setup, not a Forge or NeoForge modpack. Java mods that require installation on the player’s device do not become compatible with Bedrock through Geyser.

Installation selects the latest available components for Paper. The Minecraft versions used by your players must remain supported by the installed server and Geyser. A game update may require updating your server plugins.

Set up your Java + Bedrock server

Select Java + Bedrock

Choose this pack using the create button. Paper is selected automatically with Geyser and Floodgate.

Check your cart

After signing in, the Titan plan and Java + Bedrock selection appear in your cart. Check the duration and details before confirming your order.

Start and invite your friends

Wait for installation to finish, then start your server from the dashboard. Share the Java address with Java players and the Geyser address and port with Bedrock players.
